Going back to the Nativity, Christmas is supposed to be about simple things: faith, love, family, and hope. But according to Mike Huckabee (who was a pastor before getting into politics), that was never God's intention.
Christmas has become synonymous with shopping, overindulging, competition, and stress.

It will echo the popular conservative call for "reserving Jesus Christ in Christmas-whether in public displays, school concerts (or) pageants." Palin is the author of, previously, "Going Rogue," about her experience as John McCain's vice presidential nominee in 2008, and "America by Heart," both released by HarperCollins. The book will be released in November, in time for the holiday shopping season. The book, "A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas," will discuss the "over-commercialism" and "homogenization" of Christmas, publisher Harper Collins said.
